Vintage Detroit Illustrations

As part of their annual gala, I needed to create illustrations that could be used for the various promotional materials for the event. The theme was focused on 1950s Detroit. As many of the places they wished to highlight either didn’t exist anymore or had changed radically, I chose to create illustrations of the items they wanted to show off. I went with a simple style with minimal extra details, yet made sure all places were identifiable. I also created a simple silhouette of the Detroit skyline in the 1950s.
